North Queensland Cowboys vs. Melbourne Storm (TV style) – My call (Round 22, 2017)

Last night, I commentate the blockbuster Round 22 match of the 2017 National Rugby League season between the North Queensland Cowboys and the Melbourne Storm.

The Storm, who came into this huge match on top of the competition ladder having won seven of their last nine matches, including their last two, had won their last four matches against the Cowboys, and five of their last six against the Cowboys. The last time the Cowboys had defeated the Storm was back in 2015 in the preliminary final.

The Cowboys were also looking for their first victory at home against the Storm since Round Four in 2015, where a Johnathan Thurston field goal in golden point extra time sealed a famous win for the club, ending a three-match losing streak at the start of that season, a historic year for the North Queensland Cowboys.

Overall, the Storm had won 24 of their 34 matches against the Cowboys, and at 1300SMILES Stadium, the Storm had won 12 of their last 18.

So, who would win this crucial match?
